June 5, 2001NOTHINGFACE bassist Bill Gaal has spoken out about the reasons for his return to the band following the departure of ex-THE DEADLIGHTS four-stringer Jerry Montano, who was recently asked to leave the group and has since returned to his native California to form a new project. According to Gaal, 'there are a few reasons why I came back to the band. The first reason was because the guys had asked Jerry to leave, and they needed someone to fill in for a few shows for them. I agreed to do the shows, and during that process, we began talking about the future of NOTHINGFACE and where things were headed. After talking about everything, the guys asked me if I would come back to the band and I said yes. I will still be pursuing my other career in music production and engineering, I will just be doing both things now. The second reason I came back to the band was because the guys are my best friends and I missed them as well as the friends I have made all over the country over the last few years. Jerry and I have been friends for years I guess things just didn't work out with him and the guys. I know he will be back out there soon in a new band, keep your ears open!!! See you guys on the road........'
